It’s Red Nose Day this coming Friday, so we have 2 special online classes this week and I’d love you to join in.
We’re raising money for the valuable work Comic Relief does across the globe, so please share with everyone you know!
You WILL be expected to wear a red nose, deely boppers or Comic Relief tee-shirt, or do something crazy with your hair, makeup or outfit and generally make yourself look a bit of a fool! We will definitely be having a bit of a laugh… If you’d like to join us the classes are:
Fri 19th at 5.45pm – Core Killer Circuit
Perfect for families with no jumping about, this is £4 for a 30 minute ‘circuit’ of core strength & cardio. A perfect little burnout to enjoy before you move on to dinner, wine and relaxing in front of the evening’s television! If you have dumbbells or plates dig them out for 5 minutes of warm up, 20 minutes of work followed by a 5 minute cool down. GET ACTIVE – FEEL AWESOME!
Sat 20th at 10am – Sleep Masterclass
This one is £5 for 45 minutes and all about sleep; why we do it, how much you need, and what to do if you’re struggling to get enough. We’ll start by looking at why so many of us seem to be having difficulty with sleep in Jayne’s presentation and follow with an open Q&A session, so grab a (caffeine free) drink, and make yourself comfy.
For both of these classes, your booking fee will be donated to Comic Relief, so please join us and share with friends and family. Both classes are delivered over Zoom in the comfort of your own home and you can book via the booking portal on the website, or by dropping Jayne a message on the Ad Astra Facebook page.
Why Ad Astra is joining in
We are very much a community focused group, hosting numerous challenges throughout the years to help support charities such as local food banks, women’s refuges and young adult & children’s services. We see our own yoga community as a force for good and we encourage our members to come together at a pace or activity they are comfortable with to raise funds and awareness for our chosen causes.
Comic Relief has been running for 33 years, and this year as they say, ‘we can all use a laugh more than ever’. The official website is full of inspiring stories like, Billy Monger’s challenge. 21 year old Billy was an aspiring Formula 1 racing driver when an accident left him a double amputee. He has undertaken a gruelling challenge of physical and mental strength, battling the elements to walk, kayak and cycle 140 miles in just 4 days! Billy’s story will be documented in an hour long special on Friday night and it’s bound to be a bit of a tear-jerker…
If you can’t join in our classes, there are other ways to show support for Comic Relief. We love the suggestion of printing a special poster to display your favourite joke in the window for example! Get the poster here: Share a Smile Poster.
Whatever you do, however you spend Friday night, I hope you a good one (but hope we see you on Zoom!)
